Author Anura Gurugé did an outstanding job in collecting all available information on the discovery, confirmation and observation of the comet of 2013: C/2012 S1The book was meant as a quick & handy reference guide for people interested in observing comet ISON C/2012 S1 but nonetheless provides the reader with thorough information on comets, these dirty snowballs of the solar system. It's a superb booklet for (amateur-) astronomers and a great read for the general public, who are asking themselves, as all astronomers do, if comet ISON C/2012 S1 will become the exceptionally spectacular comet as announced in early 2013... making it the great comet of the century?
The book has an interesting section on comet trivia and the 5 brighest comets since 1935.
The year 2013, with comet C/2011 L4 PanSTARRS and comet C/2012 F6 Lemmon, has already been a great year for comet observers and observers worldwide are looking forward to November 2013 when comet C/2012 S1 ISON will become a naked eye celestial object. Of course comets are very unpredictable...

I'm not sure if it's because Ison has been a non event for the most part, and that can be for lack of true media coverage. But the app didn't really do for me what I couldn't have found out on my own resesrch..
